Born and raised in the heart of Motown, GRAMMY Nominee, Jawan M. Jackson is a native of Detroit, Michigan. An Actor, Singer, Radio Personality, and Voiceover Artist, Jawan made his professional debut starring in Broadway's Record-Breaking Smash Hit: MOTOWN THE MUSICAL as bass/baritone Melvin Franklin of The Temptations. A graduate of Eastern Michigan University, Jawan began his career as a radio personality for Detroit's Top Radio Station Hot 107.5. Upon graduation, he successfully helped instill, develop, and execute a program for high school students who had a passion for pursuing a career in acting and the arts. Working as an extra in the film "Sparkle" Jawan was approached by the late-great Whitney Houston who gave him this advice, "Put God first, stand on the foundation that was set for you, and love everyone!"
